The Largs Writers’ Group meets weekly from September through the end of April. New members are always welcome.

Meetings are held on Monday mornings from 10am to noon. We meet in the community room of the Largs Library at 26 Allanpark Street, Largs, North Ayrshire KA30 9AG.

Annual membership is £10. Additionally, each member contributes £1 for each meeting they attend to cover the library’s cost in providing the room, tea, coffee and biscuits.

Meetings are lively and fun, involving discussions, workshops, writing exercises and the sharing of work (voluntarily only!). We hold frequent writing competitions with outside adjudicators, and have an annual prize-giving in the spring.

Social events take place during the year and may include a trip to the theatre (Òran Mór or other venue), field trips to local gardens or historical sites, and a garden party.
